Trail Overview

The trail is designated as a green dot road and consists of compacted dirt mixed with sharp basalt rocks, which gives it a difficulty rating of 1. Located in a high desert area, this trail is known for its windy conditions. As you traverse the trail, you'll have the opportunity to see a windmill farm. It is essential to bring a spare tire, a patch kit, and extra water with you. During the summer months, temperatures can exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit daily. If you plan to drive this trail in the summer, starting early in the day is advisable to avoid the intense afternoon heat. Dust is a problem in late spring and summer due to lack of rainfall.
