Trail Overview

Shuksan Creek - FS 1152 is a 4.3-mile point-to-point forest road that winds through dense timber on a predominantly single-lane gravel surface. The road features numerous curves and several switchbacks as it climbs the hillside, with sections of embedded rock, loose rock, and intermittent water damage that can create uneven driving conditions. While generally suitable for most high-clearance vehicles, drivers should expect to slow down through rougher sections and on the tighter corners. Near the end of the route, FS 1152 transitions into Shannon Creek Road in the middle of a switchback. The original roadway once continued straight ahead, but that section is now closed by a gate. Shuksan Creek is open year round to highway legal vehicles.
