Trail Overview

Short and Dirty is an easy 3.8-mile gravel route in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest. The trail climbs steadily from 3,032 feet to 4,460 feet through dense forest, offering occasional peek-a-boo views of the Cascade peaks. With a technical rating of 1, the unpaved road is highly accessible to most high-clearance vehicles, SUVs, and crossovers during dry seasons. A few primitive dispersed camping spots with established fire rings line the route, which ends at a small turnaround campsite. The road is unmaintained in the winter and becomes impassable due to heavy snow.

Based off the last trail update I don’t think he made it to the actual trail this is not a 1 difficulty rated trail. I would not recommend this trail to anyone that’s not very experienced! It’s a steep tight technical trail to complete the loop you’d run across spruce creek to short and dirty ridge back down. Note the short and dirty ridge is a one way trial down the mountain for sxs and 4x4 rigs. Dirt bikes can run up the short and dirty ridge. There was still some down trees on the ridge, looks like we were the first group of the season to make it down the ridge. Definitely one of my favorite loops but proceeded with caution and have fun 🤘

at the beginning there is a little rockslide in the middle of the road but 4x4 jeep went over it and rough towards the top but went up and down the trail.

2011 Jeep Wrangler

there wasn't a down tree there was a lot of big rocks on the road like there was a rock slide.at the time I did not have a lift kit.I have been building my 2011 jeep wrangler up and only thing I haven't done yet is a lift kit but I just today put a 3 inch lift kit on. I am going back up there on the 27th so this Saturday we'll see how it does this weekend. I can't wait.
