Trail Overview

This 13.8-mile point-to-point trail takes you from Highway 2 into the Wenatchee River Valley. At approximately 3 miles into the trail, there is a very popular hiking trailhead that goes up to Valhalla Lake. After 4.4 miles, you crest the high point of the pass. There is a small mountain pond here and great views of the surrounding mountains. Then it's a beautiful drive down into the Wenatchee River Valley.

Wide open and clear, pretty warm out. Trails easy with some washboard. Pretty good climb off off highway 2. Very nice views in spots.

Snow at the top of the trail coming in from the Stevens pass side, about 4 miles in. Not super deep, but there are no tracks through the snow and it was firm and slippery so I turned around. I did fly my drone down the road and it appears to be snowed over at least until the intersection with Snowy Creek Trailhead.

About a mile in, we hit some deep snow patches, didn't really feel like getting stuck so turned around and left
