Trail Overview

Quarry Lake Viewpoint Road is a 1.6-mile offroad route through the dense timber of Elbe Hills State Forest. This unmaintained trail climbs from 3,378 feet to a maximum elevation of 3,637 feet. Drivers will navigate tight, overgrown corridors where low-hanging branches can scrape full-size vehicles. The main attraction is a natural land bridge providing views over two lakes. The dirt road transitions between single- and double-car widths and contains slick, silty soil, minor potholes, and rocks up to 10 inches tall. Ledges on the south side, deep ruts, and slippery footing require careful tire placement. Dispersed camping and RC rock crawling opportunities are located in the quarry area at the end of the trail.

Trail was good overall. Starting to get over grown, causing the branches to scratch the jeep. Sections have dead branches across the roadway. Air downed the tires to 15PSI and had a pretty easy ride.
