Trail Overview

This is a gentle and easy forest road that connects Twisp River Road and Patterson Lake Road. It is 2WD friendly with nothing difficult or technical to note. The worst of it was washboarded sections and occasional pot holes. It is a routinely trafficked road as there are several mountain bike trails, hiking trailheads, offshoot 4x4 trails, and scattered primitive campsites all along the way. The last bit of the southern section is cut into the hillside and offers some beautiful views down the valley. Unmaintained in the winter months. Cell service was intermittent.

It's a well maintained dirt road. The north is very busy as it's access to a popular mountain biking trailhead. The views are great midway through, and there's some campsites towards the southern end.

Good Trail, though ran into the Sun Mountain Race participants, so lots of runners. Also quite a few bicyclists, definitely seems like a popular area. ran into several folks not understanding off road etiquette in terms of pulling off and letting others by in narrower sections, (a tesla tried to force through at a cattleguard of all places). Decent route, just be ware of the traffic
