Trail Overview

This is a section of the 2510000 trail to the first big lookout/camp area. The primary trail is gravel and dirt based. There are some occasional potholes but primarily just dirt and loose gravel. Once you take the left turn to go to the lookout, you will proceed on a steady elevation incline. This then turns into a gravel-based steep incline. The lookout will sneak up on you on the left once about 75% up the steep incline.

Difficulty

I rated this a level 2 solely because of the loose gravel steep incline. 4wd was not necessary to get up the hill, however when wet can be additionally slippery.

Went in the middle of the rain storm. Two downed trees which I cleared. If you come out here, bring a saw or axe just in case.

Awesome spot large enough to fit a handful of vehicles for the day or stay the night fun little trail super easy but does have some tight trails with cliff edges for those scared of heights lol

Was super easy gettin to the top, and only about a 10 minute drive off of 101. It was sunny and nice the first day and then it proceeded to dump rain on the second day. Ended up going on a hike at lena lake which i would recommend. overall solid spot to camp with friends.

Absolutely beautiful view on the top of this lookout! A few camping spots too which I’m definitely going to come back for. It was a relatively easy climb up to the top, a bit steep on the latter end. Also, you’ll need to make sure to stay left on the fork that comes up so you can continue up to the lookout.
