FR 65 - Panther Creek

This section of Forest Road 65 leads to a few hiking trails and a horse camp. The road conditions are that of typical mountain road: some potholes and erosion ruts will be encountered. As noted by the full parking lot at Thomas Lake Trailhead, the road is 2WD capable. There are a couple of narrow sections due to vegetation overgrowth into the road that may brush vehicle. FR 65 is not accessible from the North, off of FR 30 - Road Closure signs were posted there. Cellular service was noted at the Thomas Lake trailhead. Restroom facilities were also there. Area closed to wheeled vehicles Dec 1 - April 1 for winter recreation.
