Trail Overview

This 10.4-mile loop trail explores the forested area surrounded by the Chiwawa River, Wenatchee River, and Fish Lake. This area has multiple trails that are great for dirt bikes, ATVs, and SxSs. There are a couple of sections wide enough for a high-clearance 4WD vehicle. During winter, this area is popular for Nordic skiing. There are some areas with overgrowth that may cause pin-striping on full-sized vehicles. This trail is passable by AWD and 4WD vehicles.

This is a single-vehicle trail with mud holes and washouts less than 12 inches in depth.

Per the forest service, this trail was NOT closed for fire activity, however it may occasionally be blocked by fire equipment. I was able to complete the trail.

at the north end, the west half of this trail was blocked by firefighting equipment assigned to the Pomas fire. I did not try ro approach from the south. the Eastern half is open and in excellent condition with many side trails accessible.

Snow. Lots of slush and ice. 4 wheel drive 100% needed and i had traction control off the whole time.

A few rocky and washed out areas like the pictures. Good to have some clearance to get through. Otherwise easy. Lifted Tacoma went through easy. Definitely some brush to give pinstripes if your rig is wide.
