Trail Overview
This is a short 1.7-mile gravel trail through the forest leading to Carlton Creek. The trail dead ends at a large earth barrier, and you must walk the last little stretch to the creek. This route could be traveled by any vehicle type, as the trail is relatively smooth with some potholes full of water. There are pull-outs to camp in along the trail, but at the end of the trail, there is a large camping site with a very large pre-existing fire ring. Cell phone service was weak, but enough to send a message out. Packwood is close by with service and amenities approximately 10 miles away. This trail is closed for winter wildlife activities from December 1st through April 1st.
