A fairly straightforward forest road, albeit steep in some spots. About 1.5 car widths with turnouts. Two sections towards the summit that are 1 car widths. The last section is the steepest and most rocky but there is a large pullout just before it that would be a good place to park if you are unsure. Our Forester was able to make it to the summit

Trail was in great condition all things considered. Pretty smooth all the way up until about the last half mile with a small amount of rocks and pot holes. The lookout out was stunning, we could see for miles and no ones was up there except for us! Beautiful view!

Drove out in the afternoon and overnighted at the fire watch tower. The road conditions were great. Some ruts, but nothing deeper than a few inches. The final stretch at the top has some exposed sections where the edge of the road is beginning to crumble away. Can't wait for our next visit!

Trail is mostly dirt and rock. One vehicle wide with some opportunities to pull over to let other vehicles pass. It was not that difficult for my 2wd canyon.

Beautiful day and was visiting my daughter in DuPont. We headed up to the fire lookout and made it 2.5 miles from the top. Encountered deep snow for about 300 yards. Snow had melted to slush and then froze again. Had to go up over a ride down into a hole.and.make a switch back. Lost traction in 4H and 4A. So decoded.to.tuem around in defeat. It was just our car and no winch. So decided to tackle another day.
