Trail Overview
This is a dirt-based forest road that is narrow and one vehicle wide, with an occasional place to pass. There are areas of the trail that are two-track, and also sections that have a bumpy, rock garden. There are minor ruts and wash, and also ledges with decent drop-offs. The forest is thick in this area, and there is overgrown vegetation and tight trees. You will have views of some rock faces and the surrounding peaks, and there are some split-off trails that have an earth barrier blocking them. There are several pre-existing campsites along the trail, and the area appears to be a hunting base camp area with game hangers on the trees. Any vehicle type could traverse this trail, but expect to pick up a scratch or two from pinstriping. Cell service was weak, and there are no amenities on the trail, so travel prepared with all needed supplies. The closest supplies are approximately 45 minutes away in Winthrop, Washington.
