Trail Overview

Peters Mill Run is a point-to-point easy trail near Fort Valley, Virginia. The trail is stock friendly and is a great spot for those new to off-roading. The trail can be entered from either the North or South end, with the southernmost two miles of trail being the most challenging. Woodstock Tower near the trails north end is worth a visit and for those wanting to camp, Little Fort Campground is also on the north end - 11 tent sites available on a first come first served basis (free). Peters Mill Run is a part of Lee Ranger District's OHV Trails - there are 36 miles of trail, but all other trails are open to ATV's only - NOT 4-wheel drive vehicles. A permit is required - a one day permit is $5.00 and can be purchased at a number of local gas stations and stores (see link for more info.). Difficulty

Most of the trail is an easy 2 - a few sections with small obstacles in the southernmost two miles are a 3 rating. Also, with vehicles traveling in both directions, finding pull off spots where the trail is one vehicle wide can be challenging.
