Peters Mill Run is an easy point-to-point trail near Fort Valley, Virginia. The trail is stock friendly and is a great spot for those new to off-roading. The trail can be entered from either the North or South end, with the southernmost two miles being the most challenging. Woodstock Tower near the trails north end is worth a visit, and offers camping sites. Little Fort Campground has 11 tent sites available, free of cost, on a first come first served basis. Peters Mill Run is a part of Lee Ranger District's OHV Trails. There are 36 miles of trail, but all other trails are open to ATV's only, NOT 4-wheel drive vehicles. A required permit is $5.00 for one day and can be purchased at a number of local gas stations and stores (see link for more info). Edinburg, Virginia is the closest town. Jeep owners: Peters Mill Run is a Badge of Honor Trail. Weather & Trail Conditions permitting, the trail is open from Mid-March until the third Monday in January. Lee Ranger District can be reached at 540- 984-4101.

Most of the trail is an easy 2 - a few sections with small obstacles in the southernmost two miles are a 3 rating. Also, with vehicles traveling in both directions, finding pull off spots where the trail is one vehicle wide can be challenging.
