Trail Overview

Peters Mill Run is a point-to-point easy trail near Fort Valley, Virginia. The trail is stock friendly and is a great spot for those new to off-roading. The trail can be entered from either the North or South end, with the southernmost two miles of trail being the most challenging. Woodstock Tower near the trails north end is worth a visit and for those wanting to camp, Little Fort Campground is also on the north end - 11 tent sites available on a first come first served basis (free). Peters Mill Run is a part of Lee Ranger District's OHV Trails - there are 36 miles of trail, but all other trails are open to ATV's only - NOT 4-wheel drive vehicles. A permit is required - a one day permit is $5.00 and can be purchased at a number of local gas stations and stores (see link for more info.). Edinburg, Virginia is the closest town - exit #279 on Interstate 81. Jeep owners - Peters Mill Run is a Badge of Honor Trail.
