Trail Overview

This trail begins or ends along State Route 623, where you are greeted with an amazing view of Big Butt and Little Butt Mountains. Overall, this is a fast-paced, hard-packed gravel trail that provides a great non-paved travel option through the area. The trail is approximately two lanes wide and is open to two-way traffic, making it easy to navigate while enjoying the surrounding scenery. Along the route, you will pass beautiful farm meadows and have opportunities to see local wildlife. There are only a few houses along the trail, giving it a relatively quiet and rural feel. The combination of mountain views, open farmland, wildlife, and limited development makes this a pleasant route for anyone looking to get off the pavement and enjoy a more scenic drive. It is an easy trail to travel compared with more technical mountain routes, but still offers a nice change of pace and plenty of opportunities to take in the surrounding landscape.
