Trail Overview

This is an awesome road/trail. It starts with some beautiful Vermont dirt roads then transitions to an easy 4th class road that progresses to a very difficult trail. There are multiple rock ledges and deep water obstacles. Some drive-arounds are tied or unusable for a full-size rig. There are not many places to turn around once into the technical trail portions, but there are easy places to stop and walk hard sections of the trail. This is super fun.

Difficulty

The rock ledges and water holes have hard-to-spot lines. They are there, you will just need to walk them and know your vehicle's approach and departure angles as well as ground clearance.

This is a fun road for sure. Both trucks are mildly modified, one is a ZR2 and the other is a Rebel with a 2”lift and 35”. Would highly recommend a spotter and some recovery equipment. VERY rocky and rough. Good technical spots along the way and some fun mud holes. One of the holes is about 2 1/2 feet deep and heavy soft clay.

The trail was very wet everywhere with lots of mud/water crossings. The area got about 1 inch of rain the previous night so that is no surprise. This is a great trail as long as you have some decent ground clearance and thoughtful tire placement. Some of the mud holes were over 2ft deep today. Most of the difficult spots and bigger rock steps had a bypass on them for people who needs it. There were no trees down or washouts and we were able to complete the entire trail solo today without needing to winch anywhere although we were close. Definitely recommend for anyone looking for a challenge and some fun!

This difficulty 7 trail didn't disappoint. The most challenging obstacle were the 2 mud "ponds", about 2 feet deep. We got stuck in one of them and had to winch out. I highly recommend, but be ready for a challenge.

The Eastern half of the trail is actually paved/gravel. From the intersection with County Rd is where the difficult portion starts. Skid plates recommended. The previously reported washout seems clear, there’s some logging activity at the Northern portion. Trail was dry but still had some standing water and mud, some spots a foot deep, however some spots look like they can hold a lot.

Very fun trail, definitely easier than WMR lower trail. I will note there is a HUGE washout blocking the entire trail, about halfway through. There IS however a bypass that my almost stock jeep made it around. Other than that just watch out for large mud holes, there are a few that you'll want to scope out and test the depth. (Washout is like 2x deeper than it looks on this photo, if you don't have huge tires and a lift I would reccomend going around.)

The lower trail section rated a blue is harder imo, maybe if the rocks were wet. Still a very fun trail, hardwood flats is definitely the hardest class 4 in that area.

was very nice to travle into however we later found signs but they are facing the way back out that we can't drive in the trails.there was also a privet property sign but the tree was knocked down. there is also an ex0osed pipe across the road making it impossible to get past it unless your lifted enough to get around it. we didn't have the lift kit installed so was unable to continue. I didn't list this as closed because im not sure if those signs were still active signs or if they are just old signs.
