Tunnel

This is a fun and scenic intermediate trail that starts from the staging area for the Chimney Rock riding area. It starts out fast through the desert, over small dirt hills, with big dips into ravines. It feels like you are riding on another planet, over this gray barren terrain. It becomes a narrow ridge line trail on the hilltops, going up and down the bluffs, sometimes with a steep and loose climb or descent. It goes down a moderate rock ledge, then goes into a cool tunnel between two giant granite rock walls, which is really unique. From the tunnel, you have to go down a really steep and loose hill, which is pretty difficult if going in the uphill direction. As the trail keeps going northwest, you ride along the tops of the mesa, with more moderate rock ledges and steep and loose hills. It turns into a wide track on slickrock. You get really nice views throughout the whole route, with beautiful scenic bluffs in every direction.
