Trail Overview

This section of the Tommy Creek Loop goes across the Garfield County and Iron County lines. This is a dirt trail and is used in the Forest Service Trail System to access the Duck Creek Area trails. From this trail, the other sections loop using the Markagunt Plateau, Red Desert, and Sage Valley to eventually loop back to Duck Creek or Sidney Valley. Sometimes there are a lot of people on the trail because it is used to access so many of the other trails in the area. While on this trail, you will travel through trees, meadows, and past the dead lake.
