Taylor Mountain Overlook - FS 10549

This trail is a short out-and-back trail that heads to the Taylor Mountain Overlook trailhead. This trail starts easy until about halfway, where there is a rock obstacle to navigate, after which the trail turns east and becomes steeper and rockier for the remainder of the trail. This trail stays tight in the trees for the whole trail, with only a few dispersed camping spots on the lower half of the trail, and it is about a 1.3-mile-long hike past the end of this trail to reach the top of Taylor Mountain. This trail is open to highway-legal vehicles only and has no set seasonal closure date, but will be inaccessible due to deep snow during the winter months.
