Trail Overview

This trail leads to a beautiful scenic overlook where you can see Highway 89 and the cliffs and canyons beyond. This trail can be reached by following Stout Ridge from the north or accessed from Highway 89 taking the south entrance of Stout Canyon Ridge for a short distance, which will get you to the turn to head to the point.

Difficulty

There are no major obstacles on this trail. During wet times, there are puddles to cross, all of which have a solid bottom (please stay on the trail).

This was not a 3/10 trail. It was some pretty rough spots that need higher clearance. Some parts might be closer to a 4 or 5. Very beautiful scenery at the end

Starts as a rocky/dirt first half mile then gets more gravel with smaller rocks and mud puddles.Once you get closer to the top there is light snow.There was two ice solid puddle areas.Had to break through the ice.Lots of mud.The view at the end is amazing.

Fairly easy trail. Lots of deer and beautiful views. Mostly dusty and rocky roads. Cool side trails and nice hikes.
