Smelter Knolls West

Trail Overview

This trail is an easy trail that travels along the West side of Smelter Knolls until it dead ends atop a small hill overlooking the land West of the knolls. As you travel across the side of the knolls, you'll encounter unique rock formations of the cliffs forming the knolls, as well as some higher spots overlooking the desert landscape. This trail is open year-round but may be impassible during the winter during periods of snow/mud. About 100 yards down the trail, there is a split with the upper section containing larger rocks and being slightly more difficult than the lower section.
