Seegmiller to Black Mountains

Seegmiller to Black Mountains is a scenic, 7.2-mile desert route across the Arizona Strip. This beginner-friendly trail connects Mohave County Road 5 (Mount Trumbull Schoolhouse Road) on the south with the Little Black Mountain area to the north, traversing sandy washes, desert tracks, and rolling hills. The route climbs gently from 2,851 feet to 3,129 feet through volcanic rock formations and red dirt. Four-wheel drive is recommended for soft sand in the washes, but stock high-clearance vehicles can easily navigate the trail in dry conditions. Carry plenty of water, as there are no services or cellular coverage along the route.
