Trail Overview

Trail 47 is a short but rocky section of ATV trail that ends at Little Brush Creek after 0.8 miles. The west end starts at a very wide and well-maintained segment of trail off of FS 10547 near some dispersed camp sites, and it immediately crosses a creek that has been reinforced with cinder blocks. It enters a pine forest and narrows up, with frequent embedded boulders in the trail. There are larger sections of slab rock in the trail that you must ride over, sometimes on a steeper slope, and a couple of small drop-offs and ledges from the embedded rock. Expect lots of loose chunky rock that also makes it more technical. The east end gets steeper as it climbs up a rocky hill with a tight turn at the top, then descends back down with some boulders in the trail. The legal trail per the MVUM ends at the creek, where riders will have to turn around.

Difficulty

This is an intermediate ATV trail due to steep climbs with embedded boulders, requiring tight maneuvering and articulation over the rocks. Expect rock ledges and drop-offs about a foot tall. This is more suited to experienced riders.
