Red Mountain Lookout - FS 80132

This trail is a short out-and-back spur that leads to the top of Red Mountain, where there is a small turnaround with space to park and view the surrounding area. The trail up to the top is a little rough and narrow as it climbs through the trees, with loose rock scattered throughout the trail, as well as some deeper ruts. As it stays in the trees, there is not much to see along the trail until it emerges into the clearing at the top, at which point you overlook the landscape surrounding the peak. This trail is only open to highway-legal vehicles and does not have any seasonal closure date, but may be impassable due to snow during the winter and early spring months.
