Trail Overview

This route is a great spur-off from the Hardware Ranch to Bear Lake Trail. The trail allows an easy and less traveled route into the Peter Sinks area from the small and quaint town of Randolph. The views are expansive and the area offers plenty of other trails to venture on.

Difficulty

Almost the entirety of the trail is graded Forest Service roads. Depending on weather, you might encounter a few ruts and mud holes.

Bottom end of the trail near Laketown Road a little rockier than I expected but still manageable.

Coming north from Hardware Ranch, took the fork East at Lodgepole Canyon. This is a well-groomed road clearly used by the logging company in Randolph. Look for the series of beaver dams about halfway through!
