Trail Overview

Powerline Road - FS 10574 is a point-to-point trail rated 2/10 in the Ashley National Forest. It follows a functional power line across the terrain and is subject to all its terrain vagaries as a result, as it travels in its north/south path. Almost completely a two-track trail, it is deeply rutted in places and off camber in others. It also combines the two. There is one small hill climb that has been gated and signed, but other hills exist and are in much the same condition as the rest of the trail. Due to the two-track nature, the travel path is very much subject to damage from precipitation, and expect this trail to change constantly. Functionally, it extends East McKee/FS10045 to the south.
