Trail Overview

This beautiful trail takes you deep into the trees to a yurt that can be rented for camping. The yurt offers amazing views of the valley and rolling mountainsides. The trail starts off Highway 191 heading west. The beginning of the trail might be challenging as it involves a dirt road that winds through a narrow oak tree forest. Most vehicles should be able to make it through, but full-width vehicles should proceed with caution. Once you navigate through the trees, the trail becomes bumpy with a few rock formations but no major obstacles. The yurt is a great place to stop and enjoy the views, but be mindful that it may be occupied by other renters. Please be respectful and avoid disturbing them. The trail is accessible year-round, but rain and snow can make it very muddy and slippery.

Difficulty

The trail isn't difficult and has no obstacles. However, portions of the trail are narrow and involve navigating through trees. This may lead to some pin striping from branches and the potential anxiety of hitting a tree. Most vehicles should be able to navigate, but full-sized vehicles should take extra precautions or consider a different route.

Trail was clean and open. Nice easy trail other than last 200 yards, which is steep and rocky. Difficult if wet, otherwise fun.
