Trail Overview

This short spur branches off of Orangeville Canyon and heads to the Old Ephraim Tunnel. This trail is an easy dirt road with no major obstacles and only a couple of spots with shallow ruts and small rocks in the trail. This trail stays in the trees for the majority of the trail and has a small turnaround point located at the end of the trail next to the Old Ephraim Tunnel. This trail is open to all vehicles and is closed seasonally from November 1st through June 1st, but may still be impassable due to deep snow after the opening date, depending on the snowpack.

Difficulty

There are only a couple of small rocks and ruts to traverse along this trail.

History

This trail ends at the Old Ephraim Tunnel, which was completed back in 1937 and serves the purpose of allowing water to travel from the collection system on one side of the mountain across to the Ephraim side of the mountain.
