Trail Overview

We discovered this cut-across trail, going around the east side of Twin Peaks, that connects Papa Bear Poker Run 2021 Trail (which is also called Monroe Mtn Trail) on the north end with Monroe Rd on the south end, which connects to Highway 62. It's a beautiful drive down into some canyons, over hills and down into valleys. If you're traveling from the south end to the northeast, there are some good hill climbs with loose rocks and dirt. Not too difficult, though. This is open-range grazing for cattle, be sure to watch for them. You go by some ponds which form from run-off, and in the springtime, the trail has some small water crossings. The scenery up here is amazing, and the best part was we didn't see a soul! Deer, birds, cows .. but no people. In February of 2023, Utah began enforcement of a new law, which requires an online education course for all off-roaders. The free course is available online. Google "Utah OHV Education Course," and the free test will pop up. It's an easy test that will only take 15-30 minutes, and it's required for all off-roaders, Jeeps, SXSs, dirt bikes, and ATVs. Kids under the age of 18 will have to take the Youth Education Test at the same site. After completing the test, print out the certificate to carry with you which shows you completed the course. We have taken it, and it's really no big deal. Good reminders about trail etiquette and trail preservation.
