Trail Overview

Trail 17 (Lower 2 Mile Loop) is an easy section of two-track through Utah State Trust Lands. The south end starts at an intersection with FS Trail 5981, at the boundary of State Trust Lands and the Manti La Sal National Forest. It weaves north through scrub oak and grassy meadows, with an incredible view of the snow-capped La Sal mountains. The trail is very wide, flowy, and gradual, with only a couple of rockier sections, but no major obstacles, making it ideal for less experienced riders. It goes through a burn area where many logs have been cut, with giant waterbars and potential for more log debris in the trail. It rides through a 50" pinch point, and through a wide open grassy meadow looking north towards the scenic mountain peaks. The north end of the trail intersects with the Rim Rocker Trail.
