Trail Overview

Levi Well Road (CR372) is an approachable, 6.3-mile point-to-point connector trail north of Moab that serves as a gateway to more challenging routes like Rainbow Terrace and Lost World. Perfect for beginners and drivers looking for a scenic, low-stress dirt and sand route, this trail traverses open ranch country with minimal elevation change, ranging from 4,394 to 4,533 feet. The terrain is characterized primarily by loose sand and rolling whoops generally under 12 inches in height, making it highly accessible for most high-clearance all-wheel drive and four-wheel drive vehicles. Starting from the intersection with Blue Hills Road (B138) on the east, the trail heads southwest toward Ten Mile Point, offering expansive views of the surrounding red rock mesas and desert washes. While Levi Well Road is technically a county-maintained route, maintenance is infrequent, and seasonal weather can introduce erosion damage or deeper sand pockets. Drivers should expect to share the landscape with free-roaming livestock, as this is active open-range ranching territory. Because of its sandy nature, tire pressure can be lowered for a smoother ride, though extreme airing down is rarely necessary unless conditions are exceptionally dry and loose. This trail serves as an excellent warm-up or transit route when linking together longer offroad itineraries in the popular Blue Hills and Tenmile Point riding areas.
