Hillbilly Rock Climb (FS 4840/R 1375)

This trail goes across a mesa near Little Table and then up to a higher point (9,119 feet) for a spectacular view. Be sure to bring your camera. There is room at the highest point for 4-5 cars, and there is room to turn around. The climb to the highest view is steep and rocky, and at the very top, there is a left-hand turn where the rocks are really big right in the trail on the corner. Be careful not to high-center on them if your ground clearance is less than 16 inches high. After you descend the high point, the trail winds through the trees and connects to Papa Bear Poker Run. It's a fun trail with very little difficulty. It may be muddy in spots after a rain or in the early spring. You also will see signs that say "Closed to vehicles" at the Papa Bear end of this track, but the area is open in the summer to vehicles, and closed in the wintertime. This is a fun ride.
