Trail Overview

This loop circles a meadow in the Fishlake National Forest that was previously surrounded by aspen trees. A forest fire in the past several years burned across this area, and the remaining standing burned trees give the area a somewhat eerie feel. It's an easy trail, with rocks and dirt, and the spur off the end of the loop just ends at another part of the burn area. Along parts of the trail, you can see the snow-capped mountains west of Marysvale through the burned trees. The wildflowers were in full bloom in early July, and they are thriving in this meadow. There is evidence here in places of forest clean-up that's happening post-burn, but there are a lot of dead trees still to be removed. There are a couple of ponds, so wildlife sightings on this track are quite possible. Don't forget, to off-road in Utah, you need to have the online education course certificate and an OHV sticker.
