Trail Overview

Start: 37.08802, -113.76598, on Bulldog Pass/Apex Rd., Mojave Desert Joshua Tree Rd. Etc etc. sheesh! But the drive is quite relaxing and scenic. This is a fun little trail that runs along a small gorge located in the Paiute Reservation. The Mojave Desert Joshua Tree Road Scenic Backway received official designation in 1990. The route resides in the extreme southwestern corner of Utah within the Mojave Desert and offers an alternative north-south route to Old Highway 91. The Backway delivers remarkable views of the rugged Beaver Dam Mountains and its wilderness. At its southern end, the Backway passes through the Beaver Dam Wash National Conservation Area and the Woodbury Desert Study Area. Wildland fires have left their mark on the landscape, but pockets of Joshua trees and native vegetation unique to the Mojave Desert can be observed along the route.

This trail was nice. It was real bumpy but enjoyed it more than most trails.

at the split of Hollow Washington Rd and Gorge-ous (to the right), does have some rutted rocks, that must of fallen from above. Only had to put in 4L one time for a small hill climb
