Trail Overview

Forest Lake Trail drops down from the Ridge Trail to Forest Lake. It's a shorter single-track trail that loses ~500 feet of elevation when riding towards Forest Lake. From the lake, you can take forest roads back to Tibble Fork Reservoir via Shaffer Fork and American Fork Snake Creek, or turn around and ride the trail back to Ridge. This trail is rougher than others in the area. There are many downed trees that have been cut but protrude into the trail. Other trees you'll need to duck under to get through. There are also a few embedded rock sections, but the trail is primarily dirt once you get into the trees.

Difficulty

The single-track trail is twisty with many obstacles (cut and un-cut logs) along the way. It's easy to catch a foot peg or hit your helmet on downed trees on this track.

Fun little single track to extend your ride after reaching Forest Lake. A few logs and roots to cross over along with smaller embedded rocks, but not too bad as a beginner rider. A descent little climb near the end as you approach the Ridge Trail.
