Trail Overview

The road is one of the main trails to Ericson pass and is generally open year-round. This main trail provides access to many other trails and peaks in the area. May have unavoidable water/mud in wet conditions. The road may be restricted to 4x4 access only, during winter months and during rainy conditions.

Trail was smooth except for a couple small areas that were very slightly rough. Could be easily traveled by a car. I spotted deer, pronghorns, rabbits, and plenty cows.

This is a fun route with scenery and beautiful sunsets. Easy road to drive with some incline and curve along with elevation gain. Road is rutted in some areas but no challenge. Good fur a fun drive!

South end of the road (south of Pony Express) got very muddy but was passable. Had some puddles and ruts formed as well. Trails branching off to the east were passable at the beginning but obstructed by snow drifts in the higher elevation areas
