Trail Overview

This trail starts off the main Ephraim Canyon Road 2 miles from the start of the canyon. After 2.8 miles, you make a right turn onto Willow Creek Road. Travel another 1.4 miles and take the side trail 51230. Up until this point, you are traveling on dirt roads. When you turn left onto 51230 the trail narrows and you are in the trees. This is a very pretty section of the trail and while there are some rocky sections, it is lower intermediate in difficulty. After about 3.4 miles, you drop back onto Ephraim Canyon Road. The total distance is a little less than 8 miles.

Difficulty

Once you leave the main canyon road, you will travel on an easy dirt double-wide trail until you turn onto trail 51230. At this point, the trail narrows but will accommodate full-size SxSs or jeeps. There are some rocky climbs and descents and some muddy sections.

Trail was in great condition as it’s right off of the main road. It’s an easy loop with very moderate incline. Regardless of weight any four-wheel-drive vehicle would enjoy the loop through the Aspen tree forests and overlooks this trail offers.
