Trail Overview
The Brian Head Peak Observatory is roughly a 6-mile round trip on a smooth graded dirt road. The trail begins in a meadow and ramps slowly up the mountain to the summit where you have stunning views of the area below. Along the trail in the summer months, you'll see an abundance of wildflowers of all colors, wildlife such as deer, squirrels, chipmunks, rock chucks, and many more. Towards the top of the trail are bathrooms (outhouse style) and several trails to hike/bike. When you arrive at the top you'll see a viewing area made of stone that will give you a great spot for pictures and sightseeing. The road was well maintained. This is a must-see place if you are staying in the area.

Difficulty
Easy trail, the road is well maintained and has plenty of width for traffic going both ways. The dirt could get muddy in heavy rain or melting snow which could increase difficulty, however the dirt was mostly gravel, so it should hold up quite well to the rain.
