Trail Overview
This trail starts at the next turnoff past Spectacle Lake and branches off of Washington Lake Trail, where it heads North to Blue Lake before heading back to Washington Lake Trail, where it reconnects a couple of miles further north, just before Trident Lake. This trail is rocky and rough throughout the entire trail, and will be slow going as you pick your way through the rocks. Along this trail, there are also a few water crossings along the trail that have rocky bottoms with little mud. Despite the trail being rough and slow going, this trail is worth the time as it passes by two lakes and traverses across some unique terrain, and the trail starts opening up and passing through some rocky fields. There are 3 different spurs off of this trail that head down to the lake off of this trail with all of them also providing some amazing dispersed camping opportunities. This trail is open to all vehicles year-round and has no seasonal closure, but is impassable due to snow during the winter and spring, usually from November through June.
