Black Mountain Road is a 4-mile off-road route across Black Mountain near Salina, Utah. Winding through sagebrush and cedar trees, the unmaintained trail climbs from 6,200 feet to 6,574 feet. The drive features views of Salina Canyon to the east and the northern Sevier Valley to the west. The unpaved dirt and rock surface is wide enough for full-size vehicles but contains rocky sections that require high-clearance four-wheel drive. The route has a cumulative elevation gain of 451 feet and a technical rating of 3.

Difficulty

The road is unmaintained but wide enough to accomodate a full size vehicle. Although very rocky in places, it is still accessible to all vehicles. Dryer conditions are best for driving on this road.
