Trail Overview
Bjorkman Hollow connects Strawberry River Road (FR 70049) with Coop Creek (FR 70082). There are basically two sections to this trail, divided west and east by the spur route "West Co-Op" (FR 70370). The western side of Bjorkman Hollow follows valley floors, partially along Willow Creek. There are interesting geological outcroppings, the road is easy graded gravel, and several campsites are large enough for trailers. There is also a water crossing to be aware of, but it's not too deep. Also, watch for cattle on the road. However, the east side of Bjorkman Hollow has deep ruts, loose rocks, and meanders through thick forests. Grades are steeper, there are no camping facilities on this part of the trail, and the obstacles are more challenging.
Difficulty
The western portion of the trial is very easy and should be considered a level 1 or level 2 with a water crossing. However, the eastern section of the trail has loose rocks up to the size of basketballs on short steep grades and the road is narrow with very few places to pass.
