Trail Overview

This trail leads to a beautiful natural spring in the Skull Valley Desert called the "Big Spring." You can start this trail at the Spring or off State Highway 196 further south. This is an easy dirt road trail on BLM land, with plenty of open room for recreation shooting. If you decide to shoot, please pack your garbage out with you! There is already way too much garbage out here.

Difficulty

This dirt road doesn't have much in the way of obstacles. There are some pretty deep ruts that can fill up after a heavy rain or snow. Besides that, the trail is fairly flat, smooth, and wide.

Trail has some more maintained areas and some pretty washed out areas. Recommend decent clearance. North entrance is smoother than the south side. Has a lot of pull offs for shooting ranges. Please pack out your trash including targets to keep this area open.
