Trail Overview
This route leads to a scenic overlook and provides a fun mix of terrain with a few challenges along the way. It is primarily an out-and-back route unless you continue on the connector route to the next trail system. The surface is mostly sand-based, but the drive is broken up by sections of exposed rock slab and several steeper rocky climbs where loose stones sit on top of the sand, reducing traction and requiring a steady approach. There are also major washouts on the route that can push your vehicle into off-camber positions, so careful line choice and slower speeds are important. In tighter sections, desert vegetation grows close to the trail, making pinstriping likely for wider vehicles. The overlook at the end is the reward, offering expansive desert views that make the effort worthwhile. This trail is a good choice for drivers wanting light technical terrain mixed with scenery and a little adventure.

Difficulty
Mostly sandy terrain with some rock slab sections, steep, loose rocky climbs, and major washouts that can create off-camber situations. The rock obstacle is up to 3 feet tall and with rutted out sections on the bottom could cause a vehicle to flop without the proper line choice. Tight brushy sections may cause pinstriping on wider vehicles.
