Trail Overview

X-Way ** Park Rating: 3/5 ** Technical Rating: 5/10 (second section higher) ** Detailed Notes ** Perimeter-style trail with loose rocks and dirt, fun articulation off-shoots. First section is beginner-friendly and scenic, but the second half is more technical with rockier terrain, mud holes, and tight turns. Crosses several trails including Horseshoe Gulch, Humdinger, and Whatever?. Can get pinstriped in overgrown areas ** Vehicle Recommendations ** Lift with 35" tires minimum for second half, lockers recommended but not required for first part, stock rigs possible on first half if dry. ** Full Description ** X-Way is a versatile trail that serves as both a scenic loop and a technical playground. Its first half is mild, offering smooth lines and fun views -- perfect for new drivers or those warming up. The first section is a 2/10 a good trail for beginners but the rating is for the whole trail and the second part of the trail is not as easy. The second half ups the ante with rockier stretches, mud holes, and tighter squeezes that reward more advanced rigs and skillful driving. Off-shoots let you test articulation without committing fully. A great "choose-your-own-adventure" trail that showcases Barnwell's variety and invites you to explore at your own pace.
