Trail Overview

VR4 North is one of the signature trails at Merus Adventure. This is a stunning drive along the northern canyon rim at Merus that comes with plenty of twists and turns. Expect to use 4-low and spend time off-camber up to 18 degrees while also climbing 22-degree hills. A ledge mid-trail and a bit of off-camber along the canyon rim near Cable Point will get your heart pumping. Plan to make photo stops at both Hetz Bluff and Cable Point.

Difficulty

Short, sharp off-camber turns that lead to steep inclines and shelf roads along the canyon rim will keep your blood pumping, while the vistas along the trail will try to distract you from your driving. 4WD, low gear, and lockers may be needed to complete the trail.

History

VR4 North is named for the Van Reenen family, the founders of the Merus Adventure Park.
