Trail Overview
Stubblefield Church is a scenic route that runs through a mix of Davy Crockett National Forest and surrounding private land, offering a relaxed drive through the piney woods and rural East Texas. The road provides a blend of shaded forest sections and more open areas, making for a quiet and enjoyable drive. Along the route, you’ll pass by Stubblefield Church, a Texas historic building that adds a unique point of interest and a great place to stop and take in a bit of local history.
Difficulty
On this route, you’ll find a mostly smooth dirt and gravel surface with some maintained sections and minimal uneven areas. In dry conditions, it’s very easy to drive with no obstacles. After rain, small muddy patches and shallow puddles can form but are typically easy to navigate. There are no tight or technical sections. Overall, this route remains easy in most conditions.
