Trail Overview

Spicy, like green chili on steroids. Entering from Merus 101, this trail starts out easy as it rises towards the trail head for the Boulders hike (a must-do stop). Turning south from the Boulders, it gets interesting fast! With quick, sharp turns that follow the arroyos along the eastern boundary of the park, drivers will need to focus on the trail from start to finish. Still a Green trail but spicy enough to keep your attention. Because afternoon sunshine can be blinding, we recommend running this trail from North to South.

Difficulty

This trail gets its name and rating from the number of short, tight turns it makes as it winds its way along the base of the canyon wall on the east side to the park. Guaranteed to provide a great shoulder workout, this trail is perfect for beginners looking to increase their comfort level before hitting harder Blue trails.

Trail is just as described and ‘spicy’ is the right name. Had more fun here than on the blue trails nearby.
