Trail Overview

This is Cara & Matt McClellan's (Ozark Overland) favorite trail. OOA is a double black-rated trail full of challenging obstacles. Rigs outfitted with at least 37-inch tires with some lift would be needed. This trail has incredibly steep climbs, deep v-notches, and sections of off-camber. There are amazing sweeping views of the canyon from all different parts of this trail. It will take you climbing near vertical walls as well as 3 ft ledges, navigating creek beds, and skirting cliff edges as you make your way around. The deep V-notch wall climbs will require an experienced spotter to safely traverse. This is not a trail that should be run solo.

Difficulty

This difficult trail will test your suspension, traction, break-over angle, and nerves. There are large rocks, tight turns, 30 to 40-degree climbs, and large ledges all along this trail. There is a deep V-notch near the north end of the trail that will have to be carefully spotted to keep your vehicle upright. There is a seemingly impossible wall climb that will also require a spotter. This is a trail for an experienced driver and a modified rig.

Too great of a Trail, for my Jeep. I have a 2” or 3” lift, 35” tires, no lockers, and I had a little 750lb Warn winch with me, that you use with a Speed Drill. We made it through the trail, but barely.
