Trail Overview

No Name cuts through the middle of a section in the park called the "'Back 40" and thereby can be accessed from 2 points on the ranch road that runs along the perimeter of the area. There are 2 different ways to run this trail. One is easy with little to no obstacles by taking the bypasses, which are well-run and obvious. The other is the more difficult route that we tracked starting at the north end entrance by the pond and running along the granite backbone. Immediately after the pond, the continuation of the granite backbone and the bypass intersect. The hard left track climbs up the granite face to the top of the ridge and continues an up and down climb over large rock outcroppings. Less experienced drivers may need a spotter for this section of the trail. The remainder of the more difficult track we took runs up and down along granite shelf rock and ends with a tricky exit between boulders.

Difficulty

Sloping rock ridges and steep ascents/descents can easily put your vehicle in an off-camber position. There are several spots where line of sight is limited.
