Trail Overview

Forest Service Road 568 leads to hunters' camps. There are free camping areas just five miles off the Texas Traverse in the Davy Crockett National Forest. The drive is an easy one when dry, but can be dusty/muddy depending on the weather. Most vehicles will be able to make the route. The campsites can fit trailers and a couple of them are large enough to hold more than one vehicle. There are areas in the road that show signs of water washing across the road. The road is gravel and dirt.

Road was mostly easy dirt road. There were two sections of washout that were technical and took some planning to get through. The first one was pretty deep and required the use of locking the rear axle. Drop was about 2ft+ but since it was muddy it was semi gradual.
