Trail Overview
FR 558A is a short forest road that runs through the piney woods of Davy Crockett National Forest with a few rougher sections along the way. The trail continues deeper, but a large downed tree currently blocks access further in. There's a small area along the route that can be used for a basic campsite, tucked back in the woods.

Difficulty
On this trail, you'll find a dirt surface with small ruts, uneven sections, and a large downed tree that blocks the main path. The ruts are manageable and can be driven through with proper line choice, even in an AWD vehicle. After rain, sections may become muddy and slightly more challenging. While there are no major technical obstacles aside from the blockage, the ruts and uneven terrain can require a bit more attention. Overall, this trail remains easy with minor challenges depending on conditions.
